Goodbye March, goodbye Winter ......................... here's to those bright Spring days full of promise for the best summer ever ............

A week of sunshine ................

What a glorious week we have had .............

Blue sky every day.  Perfect for Joe Cocker walking.

The garden is bursting into life with colour.

Even the chance for a few rows of knitting outside.

And look how beautifully my new yarn from Marmalade Yarns www.marmaladeyarns.co.uk is knitting up.  Such vibrant colours - a joy to work with.

Even a trip to Waitrose was brightened with the passing of an unexpected visitor in the blue, blue sky.

Yesterday saw a monumental event in our household.  Rosie and her friend, Simon,  set off on a three month adventure to Asia and Australia.  They have just landed in Bangkok as I type.  How exciting.  At least I can give her room a jolly good springclean now!

 From Heathrow I headed back down south via Heston's famous Little Chef.  What a visual treat it was too.

Even the toilets had touches of fun.

Back to last Saturday; back to Frome; back to the Smile exhibition .......... and my highlight and main reason for visiting the exhibition - Julie Arkell.  Who couldn't be inspired by her lovelies.  I hope one day to be lucky enough to attend one of her workshops.  What fun would that be.  But in the meantime .............

 And just for that little extra treat Julie Arkell's book just had to come home with me.  Full of fantastic, inspirational photographs it should be on every bedside table.

Back to my trip to Frome on Saturday and the wonderful Smile exhibition at the quirky Black Swan Arts Centre.  Wherever you looked there was reason to smile ........ from a new twist on music ................

 to a jolly trip to the loo!

Back to my trip to Frome on Saturday.  Besides the quaint, fascinating shops, Frome had lots more on offer.   It was the last couple of days of the Smile exhibition at the fantastic Black Swan Arts Centre, which was my main reason for visiting.

Weekend fun.

Happy Weekend.  I hope you are all enjoying ..........and what a perfect Spring day yesterday.  The day started with delivering a jolly Mabel to the venue of her first Duke of Edinburgh Award experience.  All suitably booted and suited .............

Then for me on to Frome.  A favourite place.  Full of quaint lanes .............

And perfect shops .........

Needless to say I couldn't leave without the odd ball or two.
